書籍 1 in Learn German

リリース保留中

This book is designed to help students learn German. It contains Mark's Gospel from the Luther Bible (1912 edition). The Luther Bible was pivotal in the Protestant Reformation, making scripture accessible in vernacular German. It democratized religious knowledge, diminished reliance on clergy, and standardized the German language, significantly shaping both theology and culture.

The book immerses the reader in the german translation in order to build confidence reading literary German as quickly as possible. To achieve this, all uncommon words that occur 140 times or fewer in the Luther Bible are glossed as footnotes. This enables the reader to continue reading every passage unhindered. Therefore, the book complements traditional language grammars and is especially ideal for beginner and intermediate students learning to read German. However, even advanced readers will appreciate the glossing of the rare words, since it saves time reading the text. In addition, unlike other readers, this book is small and light, so very easy to carry around and a pleasure to read.

Other features include:

  • Paradigm charts of noun and verbs
  • Glossary of all the words not glossed below the text
  • Wide margins
